Visit Hendricks County Fall Campaign to Focus on Weekend Getaways

Haunts Hikes HappeningsDANVILLE, IN (September 11, 2013) –Visit Hendricks County has unveiled a fall promotion this week to showcase all of its autumn attractions and activities with an emphasis on weekend travel.

This year’s Haunts, Hikes and Happenings promotion will provide numerous tips and tales and even provide specific weekend getaway ideas to entice visitors within a 250-mile radius to travel to Hendricks County to experience fall fun.

“This time of year has become one of our more popular seasons to visit with attractions like Beasley’s Orchard, numerous fall festivals and so much more,” said Sarah Ferguson, Visit Hendricks County’s director of marketing. “We wanted to find a way to spotlight our attractions and package them as a weekend getaway to encourage overnight stays.”

Each weekend through the fall season is highlighted on Visit Hendricks County’s website and on the All Access Hendricks County blog with a weekly feature called Weekend Primer that will be posted every Monday.

These easy-to-follow insider tips will allow families to determine at a quick glance which weekend or weekends fit their interests and schedule. Popular events such as the Heartland Apple Festival, Indiana Short Film Festival and Quaker Day Festival are just a few of the fall fun highlights.
