It’s a sad day for me to hear the news about the Indianapolis Colts releasing Marvin Harrison. He’s a Colt. It will be hard for me to see him play on any other team. I’m torn between wanting to keep him and see him continue to break receiving records and retire as a Colt, or to let him go and use his salary to gain some much needed help on defense and/or the offensive line.

Wherever he ends up, I hope he has better success than Edgerrin James has had at Arizona. Granted they made the Super Bowl, but it wasn’t because of having the Edge for the most part. I think he only stepped up and started working hard again when he was benched and others stepped up and more than adequately filled the hole he left.

Hopefully Marvin will get everything straightened out and hopefully we’ll find out he’s on the up-and-up with the shooting near his club and car wash in Philly.

Perhaps even more upsetting though is the potential loss of our Pro-Bowl Center, Jeff Saturday. He’s also testing the free agent waters. Part of me think Peyton will do whatever it takes to keep Saturday in front of him at the offensive line.

  1. It is very sad to hear Marvin won't be part of colts roster anymore. He had some good years in indy and its hard to imagine him with some other team.I wish him good luck.
