Tony Dungy will be returning to the Super Bowl this year, something nobody really expected. The difference is he’ll be part of the broadcast team with NBC. He’ll be joining Dick Ebersol and former Seattle head coach, Mike Holmgren.

I’m actually surprised he did this as I somewhat expected him to pretty much fade from the NFL limelight. Nothing has been said on whether he’ll do more from broadcast booths after the Super Bowl at this point.

I think this could be really good for him though. It should allow him to still be involved with the NFL, which I think is a good thing. Professional sports could use more influence from men like Tony continuing to be involved. It should also give him the flexibility and resources to continue being involved in so many other great ways with the community.
